2012 Spring/Summer Skills Training

Eureka Junior Wildcat Football is proud to partner with EUREKA HIGH SCHOOL and ELITE FOOTBALL ACADEMY to offer off-season football skills training!

WHEN
Every Tuesday evening from 7:00p – 8:30p, in April-June:
April 3, 10, 17, 24
May 1, 8, 15, 22, 29
June 5, 12, 19, 26

WHERE
The Field in Pacific, http://thefield-stl.com/. This indoor sports facility is less than 10 miles from Eureka High School.

WHAT

  • Position-specific training with expert coaches from Eureka High School and Elite Football Academy in addition to EJWF coaches.
  • All athletes who are registered for the 2012 EJWF season are eligible to attend.
  • Training will be customized to the boys’ skill levels, so it will be just as valuable to the experienced “veterans” as it will to the kid going into his first season.
  • This is not just conditioning. Players will work on football drills and simulated game settings to gain better understanding of their position and its relationship to the game.
  • This is a great opportunity to perfect your technique on your main position or to begin learning a new one.

COST
$65 covers the entire 13-week training. For that one-time cost, you can attend as many or as few of the 13 sessions that you like. If you attend all 13 sessions, that comes out to only $5/session.

A FEW MORE NOTES…
  • This training is COMPLETELY OPTIONAL. This training is not required to participate in the 2012 EJWF season, and no preferential consideration will be given to those who participated.
  • This is not a fundraiser for EJWF. We are charging just enough to try to break even.

2012 EJWF Registration

EUREKA JUNIOR WILDCAT FOOTBALL

Eureka Junior Wildcat Football invites you to become part of the 2012 season. Eligible players will be entering 2nd through 8th grades beginning August 2012 and plan to attend Eureka High School. This is an opportunity for athletes to learn the fundamentals of Eureka High School Football. Tentatively, practice will start the first week of August and the season will run between 7 and 9 games, concluding in October. Final schedules will be forwarded when available. This is full contact, high school rules football. Therefore, players will need a signed medical release and a recent physical. Players without these items will not be allowed to participate.

The objective of the Eureka Junior Wildcat Football program is to prepare athletes for Eureka High School Football. You MUST be within the boundaries of Eureka High School attendance and plan on attending Eureka High School. No exceptions will be made.

Cost: $225 plus personal equipment (if you have your chinstrap, girdle and 7 pc pad set, then no personal equipment is needed). Discounts will be applied to families with more than one player in the program. Registration fee will be non-refundable on August 1, 2012. A $25 fee will be assessed for registration cancellation prior to August 1, 2012.

The number of teams formed per age group will be determined after registrations are closed. We will form enough teams to ensure that all players receive fair instruction and playing time. If too many players register, we may have to limit the number of participants, with priority given first to returning players, and then by order of registration. You will be notified of your inclusion on the final roster via email. We will include a schedule of equipment pickup and upcoming practices/meetings. An equipment deposit of $200 and work duty deposit of $25 will be needed to secure equipment at time of pickup.

When your child is placed on the roster, this does not guarantee a certain amount of playing time. Our coaches will attempt to give each child an opportunity during practices and games, however, there is no set number of plays that your child will participate. Performance in practice is the determining factor for playing time. Practices will be two to three days per week with games typically held on weekends Missing practice will diminish chances for playing time. If you are going to miss a significant amount of practice due to vacation or other activities, please reconsider signing up for football.

Eureka Junior Wildcat Football Inc. is a not for profit, volunteer organization that is organized to promote an ongoing youth program in Eureka, Missouri and to inspire in it's participants the ideals of sportsmanship, scholarship and physical fitness, regardless of race, color, gender or creed. Our program could not exist without the great support we receive from the Eureka High School administration and football coaching staff. However, this is neither a Rockwood School District nor Eureka Sports Association sponsored activity.

NEW THIS YEAR

  • League expansion - we are excited to be able to expand the program to now include a 2nd and 3rd grade program

  • Multi-player family discounts - for families with more than one participant, the fee for the second is reduced to $200 and the fee for any additional is only $175

  • Volunteer requirement - Because EJWF is a 100% volunteer organization, we need your help to ensure that the league runs smoothly and efficiently. Each family will be required to sign up for one work duty or optionally buy out of the responsibility for $25.
